Willie Hunt

   Mr. Willie A. Hunt, 86, of 5408 Simmons Dr. Lumberton, NC, went home to be with his heavenly father on April 26, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Mr. Elisha and Bessie Hunt of Fairmont, NC.

   He is preceded in death by two brothers, James S. Hunt and Junior L. Hunt; five sisters, Vertie R, Thomas, Versie Mae Hunt, Regina McCorkle, Rosemary Pitensenberger, and Betty L. Hunt.

   He was formally a devoted Deacon at South Broadway Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. He was a former devoted Deacon at West End Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC. He was also a dedicated employee for 32 years with General Motors in Baltimore, MD.

   He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Hunt of the home; one son, Roger Hunt (Sarah) of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, Kelly (Matthew), Ryan, Mallorie, Natalie, and Andrea; five great-grandchildren, Hayley, Gordon (Sonia), Maddison, Arabella, and Noah; his siblings two brothers, Lee Edward Hunt (Dottie) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Wayne (Jack) Hunt (Audrey) Greenville, SC; four sisters, Margaret (Rex) Brown of Jacksonville, FL, Genice Bowie of Baltimore, MD, Edna Sampson of Lumberton, NC., Kathy (Jimmy) Oxendine of Fairmont, NC.; and a very special caregiver, Jeanette Locklear a very special thanks to her for all she has done and also June Young.
