William "Carey" Revels

William “Carey” Revels, 76, of Saint Pauls, NC was born January 21, 1947, to the late Hezzie and Maginora Revels of Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life to eternal home on April 26, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton NC. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Leo Revels, LarryJo Revels and Garland Revels, and sisters Clara Hammond and Christine Locklear.

    Mr. Carey leaves to cherish his memories, and his wife: Olivia J. Revels, of the home, two daughters: Penny Revels and AmyJo Revels, both of St Pauls, NC. Loving grandchildren: LaNicqwa “Jay” Harrell, DeShayla Jurgens (MacKenzie), Amethyst Revels, Kobe Revels and William Mitchell; two wonderful great grandchildren: Londyn Wactor and Laikyn Harrell; Brothers: Vincent Revels (Katherine) of Raleigh, Hilton C. Revels (Alice Faye) of Lumberton; his best friend Donald Jacobs of Prospect and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whom he loved deeply.

   While Carey’s family held the biggest spot in his heart, Carey committed 34 years working at Converse where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed visiting old friends and being around family. He spent many hours tinkering outside with his grandchildren, teaching them valuable lessons that they will always cherish.

   Carey will continue to shine in the hearts of his loved ones. They are forever grateful for the everlasting love, patience, and compassion he gave throughout his life. His legacy remains within each of them along with amazing stories to share and memories to cherish. From his closest family, they would like to say, “you can rest now Papa, we will take it from here”.
