Ms. Willer Mae Locklear was born November 15, 1940, and departed this life September 20, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Locklear and mother, Lillie Mae Locklear Deese, her husband Rufus Locklear, a son Mr. Bobby Jacobs, two sisters Mary Lois Jones, and Clementine Locklear, two brothers: James Willie Locklear and Sandy Locklear.

She is survived by a daughter Judy Jacobs Allen (John) of Lumberton, NC and a son Mr. Jimmy Jacobs of Pembroke, NC. Seven grandchildren: Sonya Smith, Chrissy Jacobs, John Allen Jr., Jessice Allen, Jordan Taylor Allen, Ashley Jacobs, Rachel Jacobs, great-grandchildren: Kyra Smith, Brayden Smith, Jaylon Allen, Johnathon Allen, Jayden Harris, Leland Locklear, Kensley Ariel Thurmon, Lalista Oxendine, Skyler Oxendine, Jackie Oxendine. Great-grandchildren: Clarity Locklear.

Sister Willer was a faithful member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, a church she loved and was very passionate about. She was a wonderful and loving mother to her children and grandchildren, a loving wife who had a great passion for cooking pound cakes for the sick and bereaved families. Sister Willer says this was a ministry, God gave her. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a devoted Christian for nearly forty years.
