Wanda Gail Ross 69, of 615 S. Caledonia Road Laurinburg, NC, 28352, was born March 4, 1956 and departed this life on August 6, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Miller, father Vardell Miller, four sisters: Blanquitta Miller, Judith Jernigan, Angelia Hunt, and Diane Fields, two brothers: Robert Locklear and Billy Locklear, niece: Danielle Clark, two nephews: Raymond Vardell Clark and Aaron Blue, and a granddaughter: Adalynn Ross.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband of 39 years: Donald Ray Ross of the home, daughter Deidra Ross (Richard), two sons: Cedric Locklear and Elliot Ross (Robin), five granddaughters: Patience Ross, Charity Oxendine, Skyler Dreman, and Destiny Dreman, Paris Christie, three grandsons: Michael Ross, Triston Ross, and Ian Locklear, and two great-granddaughters Haylyn and Adalyn.

Wanda Ross was a devoted mother, a steadfast Christian, and a shining light to all who knew her. She lived as a true example of God’s love - always serving, giving, and embracing others with an open heart. Her home was a place of comfort, where a warm meal, a listening ear, and a safe place to rest were always given without hesitation. She fed, housed, and loved countless people as her own, leaving an imprint on every soul she touched, even after her cancer diagnosis. Wanda used her journey to inspire others, encouraging them to embrace life with hope and trust in God’s perfect plan. She faced every challenge with courage, grace, and a smile that never faded. To know her was to love her. Wanda’s laughter, wisdom, and warmth will be deeply missed. But her legacy of faith and love will live on in all who were blessed to call her family or friend.
