She worked as a secretary in the textile industry for some 40 years before her retirement. Wanda wrote a children's storybook named "Wart Frog" which was published. The illustrations for this book were designed and drawn by her late son Mike Kelley. This was one of the highlights of her life.
Wanda spent the final years of her life at Glen Flora Nursing Home. The family expresses deep appreciation and thankfulness to the management and staff of Glen Flora for their loving care for our sister during her residence there. We also thank Gentiva Hospice Care for the care and comfort that they provided for Wanda over these past months. Please make any memorials to either of these two institutions.
Wanda was an avid student of the Bible and a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she will be buried. A memorial service for her will be planned at a later date.
