Wanda Carter

Wanda Sue Carter, 61, of Red Springs, was 1st born February 19, 1959 and began her second and everlasting life on October 31, 2020 at her home.  She is preceded in death by her parents:  Mr. Marse and Stella Locklear, sister Mrs. Marcielane Locklear, her daughter Tracie Lee Carter and brother Mr. Terry Locklear.

  Wanda Sue will Forever be known for the love that she shared with her family which extended outside the four walls of her home.  To know her was to love her.  She was OUR ROCK.  She was LOVING.  She was Compassionate.  She was MEAN (sometimes).  She was Honest. She was the Strongest Woman we will ever know in this life.  No matter what she faced in her body she always said “Gods Got this!” Wanda will forever be known as a Women of Great Faith and Trust in God.  She was a member of Living Water Assembly of God and an Everlasting member of one of God’s children. 

  Wanda Sue is survived by her husband of 40 years:  Leo “Pete” Carter of the home; a daughter: Mrs. Amylee and Cranston Lancaster of the home; three special grandchildren Ms. Syniah Lancaster, Kaylee Lancaster and Jaidon Lancaster; a stepson Leo Deon Hammonds (Brittany) of Orrum; her precious baby “Millie”;  six brothers Denzel (Joan) Locklear, Ronnie (Marie) Locklear, Jefferey (Tracy) Locklear, Gary (Darlene) Locklear, Kim (Pam) Locklear, Marvin “Snap” (Sue) Locklear; A sister in law Mrs.Evelyn Locklear;  9 nephews Darren, Davance, Terry Lynn, Robin, Scottie, Marty, Donald, Ron and Don; 6 nieces Teresa, Rowynna, Jessica, Nahir, Dedira, and Shenelle; two special nephews and family Mr. Kim D. (Megan) Locklear, Kenly (Candy) Locklear; She was NANA to Landrie Kohl, Jentrie Kaede, Christiana, Kendall, Kennedy, Braxon, Maverick and Tommy; and a host of relatives and friends.

  Wanda Sue believed in the grace and mercy of God and fought since 1993 with sickness, However she NEVER allowed anything to move her faith.  For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
