Von Ray Fields

Bishop Von Ray Fields of Fairmont, North Carolina, was born on June 22, 1950, to the late Troy Fields and Frances Fields. He peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Leon Fields and Troy Fields, Jr.

Bishop Fields leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mary “Lib” Fields; his loving children, Veronica Fields, Sherry Stewart, and Wendy Sampson; seven grandchildren, Bianca, Lacole, Antonio, Joshua, Jody O’Ryan, Truston, and John III; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frandoris, Carlene, and Margaret “Mammie”; one brother, Harold Fields; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss his presence.

Bishop Fields was known for his energetic spirit, outgoing personality, and ability to connect with everyone he met. He truly never met a stranger. A faithful servant of God, he was never shy or ashamed to preach, sing, or witness about the goodness and glory of God, whether at home, in church, or in public. His unwavering faith and genuine love for people touched countless lives.

His warm smile, encouraging words, and powerful testimony left an unforgettable impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Through his ministry, kindness, and joyful spirit, Bishop Fields inspired many and exemplified a life devoted to Christ.

Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
