Velma Haggins Obituary
Mrs. Velma Haggins, 88, of Lumberton, NC departed this earth on Friday, January 29, 2021 at SRMC. She was born July 3, 1932 to the late Tom and Martha Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. “Buddy” Haggins; four brothers, Carl, Westley, Sonny and Bill Clark; four sisters, Nancy, Maybel, Ester and Sissy.
She leaves to cherish her memories one brother, Thomas Jr. Clark; nine children, Marlene (James) Norton of St. Pauls, William Eli Haggins (Carol), Mary Lee Hunt (William), Maggie (Dennis) Darnes, Larry Haggins (Lisa), Danny Haggins (Pat), Lee Haggins (Shelia), Aaron (Judy) Haggins, Jeffery (Sarah Lynn) Haggins; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty –three great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; a great host of other family and friends.
Velma was a Zealous Witness of Jehovah for fifty years. She loved to preach.
