Truitt Locklear, 69 of 5539 Prospect Rd. Maxton, NC passed away Sunday May 15, 2022, in the care of Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born on February 12, 1953, to his father, Hubert Locklear and mother, Bessie Locklear which he is preceded in death by along with brothers, Tom Locklear, Marshall Locklear, Samuel Locklear, Don Locklear, Trent Wayne Locklear, sisters, Hazel Locklear, Jane Elva Bardowell, Normie Jane Land, Nellie Canady, Maxine Emanuel,
He is survived by his wife, Marcella Locklear of Maxton, NC; brother, Gary Locklear; and sister, Patricia Clark of Lumberton, NC. He was blessed to have a host of nieces and nephews who loved him. Also, survived by his miniature poodle, Harley whom he loved dearly. Truitt was a peaceful, generous and hardworking husband, brother and friend. He could make you laugh and enjoyed telling jokes. He made a living spreading mud up and down the east coast.
