Mrs. Thelma Hammonds, age 88, of Pembroke, NC was born on April 11, 1932 to Martin and Marbella Smith in Robeson County, NC. She entered her heavenly home on December 31, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton,
She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Marbella Smith; two brothers, Roy Smith and Lance Chavis; one sister, Patricia Smith.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Bricey Hammonds Jr.; one son, Christopher (Sharon); four grandchildren, Ryan (Brandi) of Maxton, NC, Brian (Mary) of Pembroke, NC, Amber Smith and Joseph Smith both of Shannon, NC; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Carol (Alonso) Oxendine of Pembroke, NC, Margie Dial of Pembroke, NC, Ann (Paul) Johnson of Lumberton, NC, and Margaret Jones of Red Springs, NC; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
