Terry Jones, 77 of 26 Old Wilkins Drive, Lumberton, NC departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on March 28, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1948 in Robeson County to his parents, the late Whit and Carrie Mae Jones.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kerry Gayle Jones, a brother, Billy Ray Jones, and a sister, Mary Jane Jones.

Terry served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Army National Guard until he retired in 1993. Terry was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in the Allenton Community, where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir, and was a teacher for the Adult Sunday School Class for many years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Helen Jones, one son, Sandy Jones and wife Sharon of Rowland, NC, two daughters, Terry Lynn Hunt and husband Craig and Julie Moore and husband Derrick both of Lumberton, NC, one son, Garret Locklear, that Terry and Helen raised, and one adopted son, Jimmy R. Jones, of Raeford, NC, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth Jones, four sisters, Carol Jacobs, Brenda Maynor, Connie Smith, and Sybil Jacobs all of Lumberton, NC and a host of relatives and friends.
