It’s with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Tammy Sue Locklear 51 of Maxton, NC. She passed away on January 16, 2025, at Scotland Memorial Hospital. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. She had a talent for singing blue grass music alongside her parents. Even though, she did not have any children of her own, she loved her family and treated her nieces and nephews as her own. She will be remembered by the memories she gave us in life. She was truly loved and will be missed tremendously.

She is proceeded in death by her Grandfather Willie Locklear and Grandmother Roberta Locklear, and Nephew Caden Locklear.

She was survived in death by her Father James Wilbert Locklear (Bubby) and Mother Margaret Sue Locklear. Her sister Loretta Jones, husband Dexter Jones, Brother James Wilbert Locklear Jr. (Pop), wife Elizabeth Locklear, baby brother Claude Locklear, nieces: Jessica Jones and Tiffany Locklear, nephews: Devin Locklear, Aiden Locklear, and Axel Locklear. Great-nieces: Alissa Jones and Aliyah Locklear, great-nephews: Dorian Jones, Noah Locklear, and Kacen Locklear, and a host of relatives and friends.
