Miss Tammie Lynn Oxendine, 55, of 1075 Melinda Road Pembroke was born March 2, 1966 and departed her life Monday May 31, 2021 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was proceeded in death by her father, Mr. Freddie Locklear and her mother, Mrs. Sophronie Flowers Oxendine; adopted parents, Mr. John Wesley Oxendine “Saylor” and Mildred Turner; sister, Rosa Oxendine Cummings; brother, Mr. James Perry Oxendine.
Miss Oxendine is survived by two brothers, Mr. Charles Lindburg Locklear and Mr. Anthony Oxendine both of Pembroke; five sisters, Mrs. Sandra Oxendine of Pembroke, Mrs. Antina Kaupa (Kelly) of Hawaii, Mrs. Tawanaka Locklear (Donald) of Raeford, Mrs. Mona Haskins (Michael – Stump) of Lumbertpn, and Mrs. Denna M. Locklear of the home in Pembroke.
Miss Tammie was the fifth child out of ten. She was our Angel. She loved to do her puzzles. She loved to pick at people’s nose pinching them gently. Her favorite T.V. shows were Paw Patrol, Looney Tunes, and Tar Heel Basketball but most of all Blue Bloods with Tom Seleck. She loved getting her nails done and for people to spend time with her. She was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by many, but to know her is to love her. Tammie was survived by many nieces and nephews, and three very special senior citizens ladies Mrs. Geraldine Locklear, Mrs. Nellie Kennedy, and Mrs. Milinda Butz; along with, Judge Karen Dickerson of Robeson County and caseworkers Angie Scott and Ms. Vickie of Dawson County Adult Services.
