Stoney Lowry Obituary
Mr. Stoney Lowry, 70, of Maxton, NC was born October 8, 1950 and departed this life Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Moore Regional Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George W. Lowry, Sr. and Lizzie Chavis Lowry.
Stoney worked 33 years with Maxton Campbell Soup Company as a second container maintenance machinist and was described as talented, dependable and hardworking. A man of strong faith, kind, caring, and always willing to help others. He was a dearly loved father figure to his nieces and nephews (James Lucas, Dawn Cummings, Lisa Blake, Matt Lowry, Andy Lowry, Chris Lowry and Jeremy Lowry) who fondly referred to Stoney as "Uncle Bones."
He leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, George W. Lowry, Jr. (Leah) of Pembroke, NC and Rabon Lowry of Maxton, NC; one sister, Roberta L. Locklear (Pete) of Maxton, NC; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
