Shelby Deese Obituary
Ms. Shelby Jane Deese 82, of Dawns Drive, Rowland, NC departed this life Friday December 6, 2019 at McLeod Regional Hospital.
Born August 4, 1937, she is preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Brover Strickland; a daughter, Deanna West; brothers, Paul Strickland, Wallace Strickland and Harry Dean Strickland; a sister, Annie Neal Locklear, Roanna Lowry and Helen Brayboy.
Ms. Deese is survived by her husband, Ertle Deese; daughters, Jackie Deese (James Mitchell, Jr.) of Rowland, Erline White (Michael) of St. Pauls and Dena Porter of Rowland; grandchildren, Erin White of Los Angeles, California, Deanndre Revels of Pembroke, Ben Cole, Tray Strickland, Dylan West and Cassie Strickland all of Rowland and Leah White of St. Pauls; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Alex (Lillie) Strickland of Pembroke, Silas (Betty) Strickland and Jimmy (Frances) Strickland of Rowland, Mildred (Corkey) Locklear and Catherine Locklear both of Lumberton and Diane Locklear of Rowland; and a host of family and friends.
