Shawanda (Oxendine) Jacobs

Mrs. Shawanda Oxendine Jacobs 61, of 179 Demery Drive, Pembroke, N.C. was born September 01, 1961, and went to her eternal home on May 05, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Everette and Hester Butler Oxendine; nine siblings; and one granddaughter Shania Nicole Brewer.

            She worked with Southeastern Regional Medical Center for a number of years. She was a faithful and loyal member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church for the past three years. She loved and adored her family and made sure they were well taken care of.

            Mrs. Shawanda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Jerry Jacobs, eight loving children; five boys, Brandigan Brewer of the home, Jerry Wynn Jacobs Jr. of Lumberton NC, Ryan Jacobs (Courtney) of Rowland NC, Chris Jacobs (Buffy) of Lumberton NC, Jeremy Jacobs of Maxton; three girls, Tynwanda Jacobs Oxendine (Winford) of Maxton NC, Rena Jacobs McCormick and Kandra Jacobs both of Lumberton NC. Thirteen grandchildren Cara Oxendine, Larisa Oxendine, Khloe Jacobs, Tilo Jacobs, Phyteaf McCormick, Elijah Melvin, Yonna Jacobs, Taja Scott, Allyssia Jacobs, Miracle Urban, Austin Locklear, Demeeya Moore, Jemerra Jacobs. Seven great-grands Tykhem, Ty’zae, TyShyla, Loveah, Kaliyah, Kaniya, and Kally. Six siblings, Lucille Oxendine (James) Lumberton NC, Susie Oxendine of Rowland NC, and Mable Locklear of Pembroke NC; three brothers, Willie Oxendine, John Oxendine both of Rowland NC, William Oxendine (Georgia) of Hendersonville NC. A family friend Barbara Jacobs and a host of relatives and friends.
