Sarah Ruth Brewer, 85, of Shannon died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lesley Ray Brewer, her parents, Rev. Davis and Francis Locklear, one brother, Willie Locklear, one daughter, Gala Lowery, two grandsons, Tracy Lowery, Jr and Jacob Lowry.
Sarah is survived by her children, Larry (Jacqueline) Hunt of Shannon, Cary Hunt of the home, David (Janet) Hunt of Rowland, Tracy (Angela) Hunt of Lumberton, Brenda (Leslie) Collins of Shannon, Lezle Maria Brewer of Shannon, special sons, Robert Tyner of Gastonia, and Richard McGuire of Shannon, 18 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, two brothers, David G. Locklear, and James H. Locklear of Pembroke, two sisters, Joyce Newkirk of Lumberton and Carol Pike of Greensboro.
