Sandra Faye Long

Sandra Neville Long was a beloved member of her community, born on August 23, 1943, in Lumberton, NC. She was the daughter of Pope and Dorothy McNeill and had five brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Royce McNeill of Pembroke, NC, her first love and husband, Ralph Neville, who passed away in 1988, and her second husband, Larry Long, who passed in 2015.

Sandra is survived by her son, Craig Neville, and his wife, Lee, of Carthage. She was a proud grandmother to one grandson, Connor Neville (Michelle) of Dubois, Pennsylvania and two granddaughters, Rachel Neville (Matt) and Anna Neville, who also reside in Carthage. She is also survived by her twin brother, Ronald McNeill of Raleigh, Larry McNeill (Glinda) of Pembroke, Terry McNeill (Silver Lee) and Linden McNeill (Evelyn) of Lumberton. Her surviving sisters are Glenda Warren (Milton) of Grifton, June Smith of Lumberton, and Nyra Wagoner of Hope Mills. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Sandra lived a full life, and her vibrant personality and generosity touched many. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her love of family, and her unwavering spirit. She departed this life on March 29, 2024.
