Obituary
Mr. Samuel Oxendine of Pembroke, NC formerly of Fairmont, NC was born November 5th, 1953 in Robeson County. He passed away on April 27th, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC surrounded by his family making his journey of 69 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Mattie Hunt Oxendine; three brothers, Billy Hunt, John Frank Oxendine, and Cecil Hunt; two sisters, Evelynlene Chavis and Esther Oxendine; one grandchild, Matthew Britt.
He is survived by his children, Aundria Locklear (Samuel) of Lumberton, Angela Oxendine of Lumberton, John Oxendine (Heather) of Pembroke, and Samuel Ethan Oxendine of Pembroke; two brothers, Sanford Oxendine of Rowland and Robert Oxendine of Lumberton; three sisters, Flora Oxendine of Rowland, Bernice Locklear of Fairmont, and Evelyn Bilic of New Rochelle, NY; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
