Rose White Obituary

Rose White Obituary

Rose Mae White, 68, of Lumberton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on February 22, 2026.

Born May 6, 1957, in Prospect, Rose was the daughter of a proud Lumbee family. She was the cornerstone of her home—a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a woman whose unwavering faith guided her every step.

As a mother, Rose was simply extraordinary. Her children were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She poured herself into their lives, offering wisdom, comfort, strength, and steady encouragement through every season. Those who knew Rose will remember her compassionate heart, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and the calm, reassuring peace that seemed to follow her wherever she went.

Rose’s faith in God was the foundation of her life. She walked with the Lord daily, trusting Him in both the mountains and the valleys. She found joy in prayer, strength in Scripture, and purpose in serving others.

Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Mabel Locklear; her mother, Debra Locklear; her nephews, Jeffery Autry, Bobby Len, and Jason Brandon; and her niece, Shana Lynn—each of whom she remembered with deep love and held close in her heart.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Glenn White; her loving children, Sheldon (Tabitha), Troy (Thua), Brad (Laura), and Keno (Nicole); and her treasured grandchildren, Mikko, Melu, Noah, Aiyana, and Eloise. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty (Larry) Sampson and Peggy (the late Bobby Earl) Hunt; and her brother, Alex (the late Janice Lyn) Locklear.
