Mr. Ronda “Ronnie Wayne McNeill, 65, of Moss Neck Road, Lumberton, NC departed this life surrounded by family at UNC-Southeastern Health, on Monday May 4, 2021.
Ronnie was born January 6, 1956 to the late Rev. Chesley McNeill and Mrs. Margie McNeill. He was preceded in death by a godson, Randall Hardin, Jr., two sister-in-laws, Shirley McNeill and Mary Ann Wynn and a niece Elisha McNeill Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Retha McNeill of the home; two daughters, Loronda McNeill of Lumberton and Lanetta Newton and Corey Newton of Pembroke; one son, Ron McNeill (Nicole) of Red Springs; nine grandchildren, Scotty (Brittany), April, Megan, Shawn, Holden, Daisa, Payton, Jayda and Jaylen; five great-grandchildren, Braeleigh, Janiyiah, Liam, Kaden, Bladen and Kameron; six brothers, James (Shirley) McNeill, Charles (Susie) McNeill, Jerry (Paulette) McNeill, Jimmy (LaRuth) McNeill, Johnny McNeill and Garnie (Shirlean) McNeill; three sisters, Carolyn Emanuel (Kenny), Virginia Hardin (Rudy) and Linda Locklear (David) all of Lumberton; a special brother-in-law Randy Hardin(Tiffany), a host of nieces and nephews that cherished him dearly. And, a little helper and sidekick, Obryan Mason.
The funeral service for Ronnie will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Riverside Independent Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry McNeill, Rev. Jimmy Jones and Rev. Nicholas McNeill will officiate over the services. Entombment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday at the church just prior to the funeral service. Arrangements are handled by Revels Funeral Home of Lumberton.
