Ricky Ivey of Lumberton, NC departed his life on October 1, 2021. Ricky was born to the late, Shelton Ivey and Thelma McNeil Grey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Hoyt and Bubba.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter, Nichole Ivey; a son, Ricky Ivey; and a grandson, Chatun Stickney (Nichole); one brother, Lordell Ivey of Lumberton; five sisters, Maxine Wills (Marshall) of Portland, OR, LaRuth McNeil (Jimmy) of Shannon, Karen Emanuel of Baltimore, MD, Vickie Ivey of Lumberton and Anita Jones (Jerry) of Raeford, NC.
Ricky Ivey aka “Slick Rick” aka “Lefty” fully enjoyed all sports. He thrived at baseball, softball, and was a Steeler fan for life! Ricky loved gospel music. He played drums periodically and could carry a tune. He served his country and went into construction, serving as co-owner and operator of “Native Interiors.” Ricky Ivey loved his creator, his children, his family, good food and life. We will cherish his laugh, his humor, and his love always.
