Regina Oxendine Obituary

Regina Oxendine was born on June 6, 1948 and passed on May 29, 2026 peacefully at her home. Regina is preceded in death by her mother, Essie Mae Oxendine, her father, Council C. Oxendine, and her sister, Jane Carol Oxendine.


She is survived by her sisters, Deloris Oxendine Hunt of Fairmont, Mattie Oxendine Dial of Nebraska, her brothers, Larry Oxendine of Shallotte, Carey Oxendine of Lumberton, her daughter, Carla Locklear of Rowland, and a son, Clifford Locklear Jr., of Rowland.


Regina worked in roadwork in South Carolina and in Abbotts Lab in Laurinburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, children, and especially her grandchildren. She loved to attend gospel singings. Her favorite songs were Graves to Gardens and Testimony which says, "I Am A Living, Breathing, Walking Testimony".


Regina and Carla attended Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Pembroke. Bro. Jimmy Strickland said some remarks in memory of Regina and read the obituary and Bro. Timmy Chavis, the pastor of Bear Swamp delivered a message in Regina's memory. 


The family would like to thank all the church family and friends who called, came by, text, brought food or showed us love and support during our time of grief and loss.
