Rabon Chavis

Mr. Rabon Chavis, 73, of 218 Red Banks Road, was born February 9, 1948 in Maxton, NC and departed this life on April 24, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Willie A. and Etta Mae Chavis; two brothers, Dexter Chavis and Donald K. Chavis; and a granddaughter, Katie Clark.

Mr. Chavis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Francis Chavis of the home; two daughters, Ramona Clark (Kevin) of Maxton and Fran Bullard (Jennings) of Pembroke; three sons, Willie R. Chavis, Billy R. Chavis (Heather), and Sidney Chavis all of Maxton; four sisters, Jackie C. Locklear, Judy C. Locklear, Josie Beasley (Donnie) all of Maxton, and Marie Jarrett (Tom) of Fayetteville; one brother, Clyde Lowery of Fayetteville; fifteen grand children and three great grandchildren; a special nephew, Stephen K. Chavis along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Chavis was a friend to many. He loved his church, and he loved the Lord. He never missed an opportunity to tell others about the Lord and that his hearts desire was to see others saved. He ministered for the Lord, right up til the end. Heaven has truly gained an Angel.
