Mr. Quitman Emanuer age 86 of Shannon, NC was born February 19, 1939 and departed this life peacefully at home on August 28, 2025, surrounded lovingly by family. Quitman was the son of the late Rev. S.V. (Sylvester) Emanuel and Flora Jane Brooks Emanuel.

Quitman was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dedra Danelle Emanuel.

Left to cherish his memory, is his wife of 61 years Elizabeth Maynor Emanuel, and four children: Quinn Emanuel and wife, Rhonda; Danny Emanuel and wife, Margret; David Emanuel and wife, Debra; and a daughter, Tina Emanuel McLamb and husband, Kevin. Grandsons, Kyle Emanuel and wife, Jasmin; Brandon Emanuel and fiancé, Kristina Bailey; and grandson, Nicholas Quinn Emanuel. He is also survived by a great grandson, Lyric Jace Ramirez; great granddaughters, Kylah Brittany Emanuel, Harmonee Ski Chavis & Melanie Rayne. Also left to cherish his memory is a brother, Ellie Emanuel and a sister, Alease Blanks.

Quitman was a loving and patient man, hardworking provider, loving father and devoted husband. Quitman could make anything he planted grow & repair anything that was broken. Quitman helped anyone that needed a helping hand. He will be missed by all.
