Phillip Duran Locklear, 47, of 4475 Union Chapel Rd., Pembroke, departed this life on May 7, 2026.

He was born on July 24, 1978, to Welton and Barbara Locklear. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessica Locklear; one granddaughter, Alylah Jayn Locklear; paternal grandparents, Cleveland and Mae Annice Locklear; and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Jacobs.

He is survived by his parents, Welton and Barbara Locklear; one brother, Welton Junior Locklear (Miranda); four children, Brendan Locklear (Katelynn), Jacob Locklear (Amanda), Zachary Locklear (Savannah), and Kacey Locklear (Ashton); eight grandchildren, Abigaile, Evalynn, Zayn, Jessie, Madilynn, Kowen, Braylen, and Durandon; one nephew, Kelton; two nieces, Jasmine and Jillian; one great-niece, Nala; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Phillip was known and loved by many. He never missed an opportunity to show how deeply he loved his children and grandchildren. With his infectious personality and warm spirit, Phillip had a way of drawing people to him wherever he went.

As we reflect on the memories shared with him, they are filled with love, laughter, and loyalty, along with the comfort of knowing he is now at peace. Though words cannot fully express the loss we feel, may we remember Phillip not only with tears, but also with gratitude for the life he lived and the blessing of having our paths cross with his.
