Mr. Peter Dial Jr. (Buddy) of Maxton, NC went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his home.

He was born on July 3, 1939 to the late Peter Dial Sr. and Maggie Locklear Dial in Robeson County. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Bernice Reimer, Juanita Wells, George Dial, Wealthy Coleman, Irene Jacobs, Susie Locklear, and Mary Jacobs; four sons: Ricky Dial, Pete Anthony Dial, Robert Alan Dial, and Claude Eugene Dial; three grandchildren: Joshua Cummings, Robert McMillian and Wendy Porter.

Mr. Dial leaves to cherish his memories: Kimberly Oxendine and husband Jessie Oxendine of Rowland, NC, Christopher Dial of Winston-Salem, NC, Alisa Dial and Belinda Rangel both of Pembroke, NC; two sisters: Mary Bell Dille of Havelock, NC and Lucy Locklear of Maxton, NC; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and a host of nephews and nieces and other family and friends he loved deeply.
