Mrs. Myrna Lee Oxendine, 82, of 2067 Biggs Road, Rowland, NC departed this life at home, surrounded by loved one, on February 7, 2025.
She loved the Lord, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister. She was born in Robeson County on October 7, 1942, to the late John H. Locklear and Zadie Chavis Locklear.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jearl Oxendine, special friends, June Bug McNeill, and Bobby Chavis, daughter, Trudy Locklear, grandson, Jason Oxendine, granddaughter Rebecca Locklear, sister Mary Emanuel, brothers, Johnny, George, James, Samuel, Daniel and Aubrey Locklear.
Myrna leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter Rose Marie (Charles) Cummings, David (Beverly) Oxendine, Rev. John Paul (Erica) Oxendine, sisters Rachel (Clyde) Dial, Betty (Lonnie) Oxendine, twenty-one grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, twenty-five nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
