Michelle (Hunt) Oxendine

Devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend Mrs. Michelle H. Oxendine, 51 transitioned to her heavenly home on August 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. Michelle was born to Leo and Veronica J. Hunt on April 4, 1972. She is proceeded in death by her father Mr. Leo Hunt, her loving son Mr. Austin Ray Oxendine, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memories her precious mother Mrs. Veronica J. Hunt, her daughter Ms. Mahlaya Rae, her brother Mr. Marcus Hunt (Taren), her grandson Noah Oxendine, special friend Ms. Heidi Mehlman, and a host of relatives and friends.

    Mrs. Michelle Oxendine was a dedicated employee to Drugs America in Lumberton, NC for more than 17 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed planting, growing, and manicuring her yard. Michelle inherited her green thumb from her late father. She also enjoyed spending time with her animals, cruising, and time with her grandson Noah. Michelle showed love to all who knew her and had a special love for her nieces/nephews and her aunts/Uncles. Michelle had an infectious smile, that could light up the room, and she showed love to all who knew her. Most importantly, Michelle had a love for the Lord and testimony that will live on through her family. It has been an honor to love Michelle and be loved by her. Her infectious smile and loving heart will be greatly missed by so many.

A special note…

     Her mother, daughter, brother, and sister-in-law would love to personally express our words of thanks to those who have been involved in the care and love shown to Michelle during her transition to her eternal home. Take comfort in knowing Heaven will be her home sooner, it’s not goodbye but I’ll see you later. Oh, how sweet heaven must be.
