Mr. Merriel W. Locklear age 72 of Clarkton, NC departed his earthly home and entered his heavenly home on Saturday November 6, 2021, and was born in Robeson County on August 10, 1949, to the late Plummer Locklear and Viola Clark Locklear Lumberton, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raven Locklear, Lumberton, NC.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Jonathan D. Locklear of North Augusta, SC; two daughters, Marilyn D. Locklear of Lumberton, NC, and Felicia Dan (Jonathan) of Raleigh, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Audrey Locklear (Edward) of Lumberton, NC, and Verna Locklear Jacobs (Lamar) of Fayetteville, NC, Gail D. Locklear of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Harley Locklear (Carolyn) of Lumberton, NC and Ronald Locklear (Mary-Lonie) of Matthews, NC; special friends, Mr. Milton, Mr. David, and Mr. Graham; and a host of relatives and friends
