Mr. Matthew Ray Lowery, age 42, departed this life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Matthew leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Tom and Michele; his father, Donald; his sons, Skyler Damien and Bryce; his daughters, Serenity and Trinity; his siblings, William and Candice; a niece, Kendra and a nephew, Kaison. Special recognition to Shana, “baby girl”, the mother of his three sons and Keisha, the mother of his two daughters.
Matthew was a music lover. He loved Mt. Dew and fishing was something he loved doing with his sons, his brothers and pops. The beach was his favorite place to be besides being surrounded by his family and friends. Growing up in a family that loved and worshipped God, Matthew accepted Christ at a young age. At some point in serious conversations, he always gave honor and recognition to God. He knew he had a family that prayed and he made it known that God was his keeper. Matthew had a determined mind set that naturally gave him perseverance. These attributes were a prize possession he had on the street. Over the years, Matthew gained a lot of friends that also became family. These friends were from all walks of life. He was quick to voice his love to everyone he encountered. That's when you knew you were family to him. Blood does not make us family, love and loyalty does. If he could speak to us today, it's certain that is one of the things he would say. Matthew was a lover of women. He was always proud to introduce each new one to his family. Matthew's laughter, zest for life and all the things we cherished about him will leave an absence for all of us, but the love and memories will hold us until we meet again.
In God's word, he commands us to love one another. In honor of that, and Matthew let us take a moment to extend your love to the neighbor sitting next to you.
