Mary Jane Jacobs

Mrs. Mary Jane Jacobs of Fairmont, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 19, 2026, making her earthly journey of 85 years. She was the oldest daughter of the late Artemus and Magnolia Hunt.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by the love of her life, FM Jacobs, her husband for 62 years and her sister, Gracie Lee H. Oxendine.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Jacobs, and wife Janice, grandson, Ethan C. Emanuel (Lilliana E. Chavis), great grandson, Easton K. Emanuel, three brothers, Vinson, Odell, and Redell Hunt of Fairmont.

Mary Jane grew up on the farm where she learned the value of hard work and providing for and loving others. She worked most of her adult life in the textile industry as a seamstress, retiring from Howard-Haggins Industry in Fairmont, NC. She loved the Lord and served and worshiped with her Pleasant View Church family until her health declined.
