Ms. Mary (Ruth) Hardin Crawford was born on October 19, 1939, in Robeson County. She gained her eternal wings, April 14, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wade Hardin and Bertha Rainwater Hardin.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, a son, Allen Crawford, a daughter, Gayle Hammonds, and life partner, Alex Hammonds.
Mary was the pillar of our family. She loved gardening flowers, and Spring was her favorite season. She was a wonderful cook, and she would feed anyone who came to her doorstep. She never met a stranger, had a giving heart and she loved people and loved to talk.
Mary is survived by her children, Dallas (Jean) Crawford, of Rhode Island, Karen (Eric) Locklear, of Lumberton, Josh (Deidre) Hickman, of Lumberton, eleven grandchildren, Jason, Cheryl, Kristy, Dallas, Amanda, Erika Lindsey, Ethan, Kaden, Kara, Eli, Emory, thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of family and friends.
