Mrs. Margarette B. Maynor, 94, of Pembroke NC, passed into eternity and into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13, 2020. Known for compassion and a strong sense of justice, she touched the hearts of those blessed to be part of her life. She fought the good fight, and finished the race leaving a legacy of love and generosity. We are grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for his mercies and hold fast to the promise of a blessed reunion.
Mrs. Maynor was born January 10, 1926 to the late Mr. Raymond Brooks and Mrs. Bessie Roller Brooks, in addition to her parents, Mrs. Maynor is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Edmund Revels; her stepfather, Mr. Bennett Locklear; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Clark, Ms. Geraldine Brooks, and Mrs. Martha Hunt; and three brothers, Mr. Raymond Brooks, Jr., Mr. Samuel Brooks, and Mr. Van C. Locklear.
Mrs. Maynor leaves to cherish her memories five sons, Jimmy Revels and Ricky Revels of Pembroke, Howard Revels (Janie) of Lumberton, James Revels (Brenda) of Fayetteville, and Mitchell Revels (Rose) of Red Springs; one daughter, Marilyn Kirby of Pembroke; one brother, Mr. Wilton Brooks (Betty) of Laurinburg; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
