Margaret Oxendine Locklear

Margaret Oxendine Locklear, 72, of 703 Old Baker Road Maxton, NC was born November 5, 1949 and died Friday December 31, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Locklear was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Mae Oxendine; her father, John L. Oxendine; brother, Purnell B. Oxendine; sister, Vera Mae Revels. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Locklear is survived by her husband of 54 years, Phil Locklear; four children, James Philip Locklear (Vondia) of Maxton, Phillip Ray Locklear of Maxton, Kimberly Kaye Locklear of Maxton, Gretchen Ann Baysden of Maxton; brothers, James A. Oxendine of Laurinburg, Leslie D. Oxendine, Jessie Oxendine, Timmie Oxendine of Greensboro; sisters, Pauline Hunt of Mullins and Carolyn Jacobs of Greensboro; grandchildren, Tracie Councill of Fuquay Varina, Ashley Locklear of Washington, Jessica Hatcher of Laurel Hill, Tyler Chavis of Pembroke; great grandchildren, Josiah Bowens, Aubrey Brayboy, Sophie Councill, Storm Douglas, and Rain Siwalinggam; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
