Lula Oxendine Obituary

Lula Oxendine, 68, of 3622 Shannon Rd., entered her eternal kingdom Monday, November 2, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. Mrs. Oxendine was born in Robeson County on July 24, 1952 to the late Russell Tyler and Marbelle Tyler.

   She was preceded in death by her husband and “soulmate” Dallas “Bud” Oxendine; her son, Donald Lynn Chavis; her brother, James “Pinto” Tyler; and her sister, Patricia Tyler.

   She is survived by her son, Dallas Jr. Oxendine; four granddaughters, Sierra Oxendine, Dalasia Oxendine, Dasmyn Oxendine, Kierra Oxendine; and one great granddaughter, Alaya Oxendine; many other friends and family as well.

   She attended Magnolia and for many years after she worked as a housekeeper at SRMC in Lumberton. She was a Praise and Worship Ministries member in Red Springs, NC. She loved talking and joking with family and friends, and also loved the time spent with her grandchildren. Lula Mae will be remembered as a loyal wife, caring mother and proud grandmother.
