Obituary
On May 18th, 2023 Louis O Locklear, Sr was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Conner; parents, Dock Locklear, Sr. and Mary Lowery; brothers, Stancil, Charles (Maeo), Lawrence (Linda) and Vargo (Judy); and sisters, Thelma Clohossey (Joe), Ann Craig (Ralph) and Bonita Freeman (Gerald).
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Louis, Locklear Jr (Teri), Lori Dorsey (Doug) and Brian Locklear; his grandchildren, Kayla Dorsey, Brandon Dorsey (Jordan), Shannon Locklear and Logan Locklear (Nicole); great grandson, Beckham; brothers, Grover Locklear (JoAnn), Dock Locklear, Jr. (Vivian) and Sisters Betty Allison (Al), Mary Stroup (Wayne), Brenda Grogan (Paul); and numerous nephews and nieces.
Louis was born in Lumberton NC. While in high school he was drafted by the US Army and proudly served two years in the Korean war. He completed high school after he returned from service. He moved to WPB to start his family and career as an insulator with Local #60.
His natural ability to meet people and love them was effortless. He was proud of his family and loved them deeply.
