Mrs. Lola Muriel Ransom 94, of Pembroke, NC, was born April 25, 1931. She entered her heavenly home on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Scottish Pines, Laurinburg, NC.

Mrs. Lola Ransom was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Vardell Ransom; parents: Ms. Doschie Locklear and Mr. Simon Locklear. She is survived by her sons: Kelly Ransom (Terry) of Georgia, Rendell Ransom (Wanda) of Pembroke, Jeffery Ransom (Crese) of Pembroke, and Simon Kent Ransom (Terri) of Pembroke, and daughter Kateria Strickland (Mitchell) of Laurinburg. Grandchildren: Joseph Ransom (Jennifer) of Georgia, Simon Ransom of Georgia, Daniel Ransom of Georgia, Deidra Ransom-Cox (Patrick) of Pembroke, Caleb Locklear (Leigh-Kendra) of Pembroke. Nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Lola Ransom graduated in 1959 from Pembroke State University, majored in Elementary Education. She taught for 31 years at Oxendine Elementary School and Deep Branch Elementary School.

Mrs. Lola Ransom enjoyed gardening, she had a “green thumb”. She also enjoyed walks on the beach and gatherings with friends and family.

Mrs. Lola Ransom is happy now with a healed body and spending time with her heavenly family. She will be forever loved and missed.
