Listern Dial Obituary

Mr. Listern (Lic) Dial, 85, departed this life and entered his Heavenly home on June 24, 2026.

Born on March 23, 1941, Lic lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. He was a devoted Christian who dedicated much of his life to serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel through his ministry, preaching, church involvement, and radio broadcasts. His greatest desire was to reach lost souls and share God’s love with everyone he met.

Lic was known not only for his unwavering faith, but also for his remarkable craftsmanship. A talented carpenter and woodworker, he took great pride in creating with his hands. He also found joy in caring for his animals and spending peaceful hours working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Betty Dial; his son Listern “Johnny” Dial Jr., and his daughter Lisa Dial and six siblings.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife of 66 years Eva Dial; his daughter Evette (Leon) McMillian and Amy (Derek) Yost; his 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; daughter-in-law Darlene Dial; son-in-law Glenn Clark; 6 siblings, a very special friend: Mr. Joe Otten, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Lic will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steadfast faith, generous heart, and the love he poured into his family and community. His life was a beautiful testimony of kindness, service, and devotion to God. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he had received his heavenly reward and is reunited with those who have gone before him.
