Mrs. Lisa Oxendine Gales, 61, of Pembroke was born October 17, 1963, in Robeson County to the late Mr. Millard Harvey Oxendine and Mrs. Mary Lane Bullard Oxendine and departed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at her home.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lisa was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Jamie Lynn Gales.

Mrs. Lisa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Lisa will be truly missed by the many lives she touched throughout her life. Mrs. Lisa was devoted to her church family at Harpers’ Ferry Baptist Church. She worked through the Public Schools of Robeson County at Lumberton Senior High for eighteen years where she touched many lives.

Mrs. Lisa was a true Tar Heel fan. She was always willing to talk about her Tar Heels. She also enjoyed rooting for her Lumberton Pirates.

Mrs. Lisa leaves her husband of 39 years, Mr. Larry Gales, two sisters: Mrs. Janet (Terry) Chavis and Mrs. Constance (Ancil) Jacobs, and one brother Mr. Chris (Betty) Oxendine, and a granddaughter, Miss Paisley Lynn Gales, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
