Linda Lou Chavis

Ms. Linda Lou Chavis 72, of 1176 Paul Rd. Pembroke, NC departed this life on October 10, 2023. She was born in Robeson County to the late Henry and Louise Chavis.

Ms. Linda graduated from Pembroke State University with a bachelor of science degree in 1973. After graduating, she began working at Lumbee Guaranty Bank, where she worked for fifty years as Cashier and then Vice President.  Ms. Linda was a lifelong member of Evergreen Holiness Church and enjoyed traveling and shopping with her sisters and nieces. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Chavis, Jr., Ted Chavis, and Huey T. Chavis and two sisters, Shirley Chavis and Carolyn Markey.

 She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Chavis and two sisters, Cassie Mae Lowry and Ella Evans, all of Pembroke. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
