Lillie Strickland

Mrs. Lillie Brayboy Strickland was born on October 13, 1934 and departed this life into God's hands on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the age of 87.

She was born in Robeson County to the late June and Berta Brayboy. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Eunice Oxendine, Mae Hunt, Inez Freeman, and Zelma White; seven brother, Butler Brooks, James Brooks, Archie Brooks, Sanford Brooks, Franklin Brooks, June Brayboy Jr., and John R. Brayboy. 

Mrs. Lillie Brayboy Strickland was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, best friend, and a life long member of New Prospect Methodist Church. She always had a humble spirit, showed unconditional love to those around her, and always full of patience. 

Mrs. Lillie Brayboy Strickland leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Alex Strickland of 67 years; a daughter, Elaine Strickland Lowry (Craig); two grandchildren, Craig Elliott Lowry (Candace) and Anya DeAnn Oxendine (Skyler); six great grandchildren, Eli Lowry, Callie Lowry, Cesilie Lowry, Caydie Lowry, Lily Oxendine, and Lexie Oxendine; one brother, Stacy Brayboy (Barbara); along with a host of other relatives and friends.
