Lillian was a true servant, there wasn’t a time that she wasn’t doing everything in her power to help someone, somewhere, even when she couldn’t always help herself. Her absolute favorite was to welcome guests, family, and friends in her home and watch as everyone gathered around the dinner table to make sure to leave, in her words, as “full as a tick” especially after preparing her specialty, which we all know were her collard greens. Not only was Lillian a remarkable cook but she also was the owner of Flowers by Lillian for 15 years, where she helped endlessly and met amazing people that she made feel like family because that’s just who she was.
It was her genuine kindness and love, her words of wisdom, and her willingness to help all she encountered with such a natural giving spirit that we will all remember her by. She will be missed dearly.
