Levern Blunt Obituary
On November 27, 2025, Levern Blunt gained his crown to heaven. Levern was born to the late Gus Joseph and Lula Mae on December 21, 1947 in Dillon County.
Levern completed his education in Dillon County Public School System. At the age of 12, he met his beautiful soulmate Alinda Watson. They were joined in marriage on May 25, 1966 and had 3 children one of whom preceded him in death. They relocated to Hempstead, NY in 1962. Levern worked several years at Helena Rubenstein and also did catering at Wendell Caterers for many years. Levern received the Mayor’s Award of Special Recognition from the Village of Hempstead and he also received a Certificate of Accomplishment from Office of Comptroller. Levern was a star basketball player, loved traveling, helping out the elderly and eating out at different buffets.
Levern is preceded in death by one sister Evangelist Betty Parks, Elder Gus Blunt, Robert Blunt, Herman Blunt and Joe McEachern, Jr.
Levern leaves to cherish two daughters, Yolanda Blunt, and Marni McCain, one granddaughter, Armarni Highsmith, a host of nieces and nephews and his special friend Jack Moultrie.
