Leroy Gales

   Rev. Leroy Tiny Gales 86 of 132 Salem Drive, Maxton NC was born on July 12, 1937, in Robeson County to the late W.T. and Mable Gales. He departed his life on August 24, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Rev.  Leroy spent his earlier life farming. He enjoyed being outdoors with his animals and working in his garden. He was a member of Living Water Baptist Church where he served as a chairman deacon.

   He is proceeded in death by his wife of 63 years, Pauline Gales, four brothers; Bobby, James, Hilton and Will Thomas Gales, two sisters; Ruth Lindsey and Barbara Louise Brigman; a grandson Jamie Gales and great-granddaughters Serenity Locklear and Emma Faye Oxendine.

   He is survived by his six children Emma (Stevie) Evans, Peggy (Rev. Jimmy) Oxendine, Rev. Thomas (Judy) Oxendine, Larry (Lisa) Gales, Terry (Carla) Gales, Michael (Michelle) Gales; a grandson raised in the home, Brandon West, one brother Vernon (Alice) Gales; two sisters Martha Maryhew and Lilly May Yawn; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
