Lena Branch

Lena Branch, daughter of the late Clarence and Lessie Young, was born on April 14, 1945. She departed this life on June 25, 2020.

   Lena graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Clarkton, NC and later moved to Lumberton. She worked for the Public Schools of Robeson County and retired after 42 years of service. She loved cooking, reading, flowers, and her family.

   She was preceded in death by five brothers, Cleo Young, Clarence Young, Linwood Young, Odell Young, and Samuel Levi Young.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years, Samuel Branch; three daughters, Sharon Branch, Shelia Faulk & Anita Hudson (Brandon); a son, Michael Suggs; two brothers, Fletcher Young and Julian Cornell Young; three sisters, Clara Suggs, Arletha Robinson and Bernese Branch; two brother-in-law’s, Ted Branch (Judy) and James Bell (Janice); eight sister –in-laws, Edna Young, Mary Frances Suggs, Loisteen Sinclair, Carolyn Striblin, Dianne Hickman (Ronnie), Denise Bell, Mildred Carter (Chubby), and Virginia Ester Jones; four grandchildren, Dennis Faulk, Kayla Branch, Laiana Gaskin AND Jayon Faulk; three special nieces, Janet Branch, Tammy Pope and Michelle Robinson; three special friends, Charles Caulder (Teresa), James Faulkner (Angela) and James Currie; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
