Lelia "Faye" Scott Mitchell, 77, of 667 Wire Grass Road, Lumberton, NC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Lelia "Faye" Scott Mitchell was born December 21, 1946, in Robeson County. She loved cooking, working, shopping and most of all being devoted to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Danny and Gretel Scott, her four brothers, Earl Scott, Jr., Jack Scott, Roosevelt Scott, David Ray Scott, and one sister Patricia Ann Kirby.

Lelia "Faye" leaves to cherish her memories 59 years with her loving husband, Carson Mitchell Jr. of the home, one son, Patrick and wife Sabrina Mitchell of Lumberton, one daughter, Ashleigh Mitchell of Lumberton, three grandchildren, Bria and James Hipp, Shateah and Dakota Oxendine, Seth and Savanna, three great-grandchildren, Daylon, Saraya, Verity, sisters, Evelyn Hardin, Pat Sampson, both of Lumberton, Ray and husband FM Hunt of Fairmont, Rosie Lee Brewer of Maxton, Dora Lee Locklear of Red Springs, one brother, Randy Ray Scott of Winston Salem and a host of family and friends.

During years of being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, Lelia (Faye) also retired from Public Schools of Robeson County after serving for 34 years as a Cafeteria Assistant Manager. She also was a prominent member of Ashpole United Methodist church where she held many titles such as Sunday School Teacher, Kitchen Coordinator, Assisting with Holy Communion, and a member of United Methodist Women's Conference on a local and district level just to list a few. Lelia "Faye" took pride in her family, church and work. Our lives will forever be changed.
