Mrs. Larvella Locklear Oxendine, age 90, of Lumberton, NC passed peacefully on Monday April 28th, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Larvella Oxendine was born in Robeson County on November 18th, 1934, to the late Isiah Locklear and Avella Barton Locklear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oxendine, her siblings Agnora Locklear, Missouri Oxendine, Gribby Locklear, Bonnie Goins, Cella Mae Flower, Hazel Goins, her children, Christopher Oxendine, Beverly Young, Carolyn Barton, Lillian Oxendine and a grandson, Adrian Blanks.

Larvella Oxendine is survived by her children, Tina Oxendine, Robert Oxendine Jr, John Oxendine (Francis), Wanda Jacobs (Mickey), fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and three great - great grandchildren, two sisters, Lucille Locklear and Irene Townsend.

Larvella was a member of Living Water Assembly of God. She was loved by so many people whom she left an unwavering impact on. She showed her selfless ways being a natural caregiver, kind, and generous woman. She enjoyed cooking for her family and fishing on the pier catching spots. Fishing was a passion of hers along with sewing. Larvella will be remembered for the humble wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister everyone loved and admired. Momma you really were extraordinary through many eyes.
