Mr. Kim Locklear, age 60, of Red Springs, North Carolina, departed this life on June 1, 2026. Born on November 16, 1965, Kim lived a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and service to his family and community.

Kim was a devoted father to Kim Dwayne Locklear (Megan), Kenly Locklear (Candy), and Christiona Guin, all of Red Springs. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow and thrive.

He was a proud grandfather to Kyndall, Kennedy, Braxon, Tommy, Landrie, Maverick, and Jentrie, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Locklear (Darlene) of Pembroke, North Carolina, along with a host of special nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Kim was widely known throughout the community as a dedicated baseball coach whose impact reached far beyond the field. He spent countless hours mentoring young athletes, teaching the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. His influence helped shape the lives of many young people and left a lasting mark on the community he loved.

Outside of coaching, Kim enjoyed riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle and embracing the freedom of the open road. He never met a stranger and had a personality that could light up any room. Known for his quick wit, playful spirit, and love of "talking junk," Kim kept those around him laughing and smiling. He was the life of every gathering, always ready with a joke, a story, or a dance move. Whether among family, friends, or neighbors, he had a unique gift for bringing people together and making every moment memorable.

Kim will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering love for his family, dedication to his community, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him. While his passing leaves a tremendous void, the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to be treasured for generations to come.
