It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Locklear, 53, of Pembroke, NC. Kathy passed on December 9, 2024. She was born in Lumberton, NC on April 2,1971.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Patrisha, father, Edmond, daughter Shana and son Diego. She leaves behind two children, Jeremy Locklear and Ana Castro, three grandchildren, Kyleigh, Briston, and Leighton, one sister Shalena Nichols, two brothers, Patrick Locklear (Karen), and Timothy Locklear, and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

Kathy grew up in a close-knit family with her three siblings. She attended Magnolia High School before continuing her education at Robeson Community College, where she laid the foundation for a fulfilling career as a CNA. Kathy's work reflected her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to helping others. One of Kathy's greatest passions was cooking, a gift she shared generously with those around her. Her love for food was a reflection of her nurturing nature and desire to bring people together. Kathy's legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. Her strength in the face of life's challenges and her unwavering devotion to her family will always be remembered.
